‘All Of Sony Systems’ Allegedly Hacked by New Ransomware Group
A new gang on the dark web, known as Ransomed.vc, claims to have breached all of Sony's systems in a ransomware attack. The hackers allegedly uncovered screenshots, internal documents, and thousands of files, some of which are in Japanese.
The hack reportedly includes screenshots of Sony's internal log-in page, an internal PowerPoint presentation, Java files, and thousands of other documents.
Ransomed.vc is not only involved in ransomware attacks but also claims to work with data privacy laws to report vulnerabilities and violations, potentially using legal leverage to coerce victims.
Sony has not made a public statement regarding the breach. This is not the first time Sony has been hacked, as they experienced a major breach in 2011.
